WILLIAMS + PADDON EMPLOYEES AND THEIR FAMILIES RODE 4,248 BICYCLE MILES IN THE MONTH OF MAY; THE EQUIVILANT OF REMOVING 1059 POUNDS OF POLLUTANTS FROM THE AIR.

The month of May was Bike Commute Month in Sacramento Region. Bike commuters in the area logged a total 926,638 miles saving our air from 13,040 lbs of air pollution, 8,575,550 lbs of CO2, and saving 441,075 gallons of gasoline.

Even though we do not have an office shower, nearly half of our office participated in Bike Commute Month. Although most contributed by commuting to and from work (in some cases over 20 miles each way), many others joined in weekend rides and lunch time rides; there was even some riding through the office (watch Blazing Saddles). Next year we hope to have 100 percent involvement from our employees. We encourage all of our business partners to seriously consider taking part in this fun worthwhile event, and we challenge any who dare to a ride off in 2008.

Get on your bikes and ride!
