THE CANYON CLUB AT FAIRWAY CANYON RECEIVED A MERIT AWARD FOR THE BEST PUBLIC/PRIVATE RECREATIONAL USE FACILITY AT THE 2007 GOLD NUGGET AWARDS.

The Canyon Club at Fairway Canyon, despite being a much smaller and more modest clubhouse compared to the other finalists in the same category, still managed to impress the jury. With an open floorplan that carfully incorporates windows and sliding glass partitiions to minimize the division between indoor and outdoor space, The Canyon Club serves as a state-of-the-art community clubhouse. The club was designed with a contemporary spin on the prevalent Mediterranean architecture found in the local area. Equipped with its own fitness center, resort style and competition-style pools, a meeting room, the club serves as a central gathering space for the residents of the Fairway Canyon community.

The oldest and largest program of its kind, Gold Nuggets honor creative achievements in architectural design and land use planning for residential, commercial and industrial projects. Entries come from 14 Western states and international entries are now accepted for all countries. Gold Nugget winners share one common denominator: excellence and innovation in addressing complex design/build issues. The competition is sponsored by PCBC and BUILDER, a national magazine of the housing industry.
