The project includes a 7,200 SF interpretive center on approximately four acres of the 30-acre historic village of the Nisenan Maidu Indians. The circular form of the building is reminiscent of the classic "round house" design used for ceremonial gatherings. The building houses interpretive exhibits, archeological collections, an auditorium, workroom, administrative offices and gift shop.
