This performing and visual arts facility for the Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District is housed in a 1930’s school building that served as the District’s community center for more than 30 years. Located immediately north of downtown, it serves as a focal point for the downtown historic community. Fire access, parking and drop off are facilitated through the use of a great outdoor plaza that doubles as a civic amenity when the weather permits, providing an outdoor connection to local art and sculpture, as well as pre-/post-function space for the theatre. In addition to planning and design services, Williams + Paddon assisted the District with community outreach and gave public presentations.
