This three story, 41,000 sf corporate headquarters for a major distributor for home videos to retailers is located on a 3-acre oak studded site with views of Lake Natomas. Employee interaction is encouraged through relatively open space planning organized around a central, sky-lit circulation stair and lobby.  The client desired a progressive image reflective of their “Hollywood” connection; yet still fit their park-like setting.  The employee break room opens onto a spacious exterior terrace.  A stonewall that extends from the central lobby into the site serves as an anchoring base to the building, mitigating the vertical elements and connecting the building to the site.  Exterior decks are used as functional amenities, providing sun screening to lower floors and additional texture to the building exterior.  The facility contains corporate offices, a two-story lobby, a theater, a lunchroom with outdoor patio and a deck on the third floor
